Fishguard Arms Quiz - Result 8/9/2002 Following a hard fought and at times vicious contest the weekly quiz was eventually won by Mike "Dotcom" and Rob "Why doesn't anyone like it when I turn up?" Under the firm supervision of the resident questionmeister Brian (see previous pages for details of his Bicycle Shop) the quiz developed as the usual mixture of the questionably obvious to the downright obscure. The gallant runners-up (or losers since only two teams participated) were led by regular captain Brian "Coxie", with the dubious assistance of Phil "The Prof". As the contest unfolded it was evident to all participants (as it also would have been to the spectators had there been any) that the eventual result would hinge on a single vital answer. Coxie, speaking in sotto-voce was unfortunately overheard suggesting an answer to The Prof. Even though the answer was obvious to the opposing team, and the "whispering" heard as far afield as The Pendre, this gave rise to some debate regarding the final score. Nevertheless fair play prevailed and at the close of the quiz both teams finally agreed to disagree over the result, whereby we all retired to the bar for some well-deserved refreshments and some cheery tales from Stu "the Reaper".  Final Score Mike's Team 14 - Brian's Team 13 (or was it 13 all?)
